Do you like working with children and young adults?

If you do, read on. This work is all about looking after young people and working professionally to give them a memorable and enjoyable experience when they stay at our centres.

We have 2 centres: 1 is situated in the South East of England (Moira House in Eastbourne) and one on the North West coast in the town of Fleetwood (Rossall School).

All our students and nearly all of our staff live at the centre in single sex accommodation. All staff are involved in the pastoral care required in a residential setting. For example, staff ensure students are settled in their rooms at night and up in time for breakfast in the morning and deal with any problems that occur.

The students’ safety is the most important thing. Therefore we only employ people who accept this and are prepared to put themselves out to ensure it happens. Staff are expected to be courteous, friendly and professional whatever the situation. We also expect our staff to be sensitive to and respond to the interests and needs of the students who come from many different countries and cultures.

The typical working day varies from centre to centre but basically there are English lessons in the mornings (5 mornings per week) followed by sports, games and activities in the afternoon and evening entertainment.

At the 2 Summer Schools every Wednesday there is usually a trip to a nearby city  and on Sundays to other tourist attractions.

Working at ACCORD ISS is challenging and can be tiring, but it is also unforgettable and a lot of fun. Many staff return year on year and have forged friendships with peers and students alike.

If you are not afraid of hard work, enjoy working with children, are reliable, energetic and have a good sense of humour, we would be interested to hear from you.
