In Lancashire we have everything for you to make the most of your summer camp stay. There are vibrant cities, beautiful countryside, fascinating nature reserves and even sandy beaches.
The beauty for us starts on the Irish Sea coast, in between Fleetwood and Blackpool. Here you will find a grand, prestigious English boarding school… welcome to Rossall School! The school is quintessentially English with its stunning architecture surrounding you as you enter the 160-acre site. This ideal seaside location means that you can truly discover the best of England and the best of Lancashire and the North West during your summer camp stay.
Just next to Rossall School there is the famous seaside resort of Blackpool which is Britain’s most loved family holiday destination. With huge attractions on offer including Madame Tussaudes, The Sea Life Centre and thrill seekers paradise- Blackpool Pleasure Beach (just to name a few) it’s easy to see why. The fun doesn’t stop there- Blackpool’s famous ballrooms host world class events and you can even visit England’s answer to the Eiffel Tower, Blackpool Tower. The best news is that juniors staying at the Rossall School summer camp will visit Blackpool every week for their half-day trip!
Rossall School is ideally located close to the two major cities of the area; Manchester and Liverpool. As a summer camp student you will enjoy visits to these two northern powerhouses, rich in history, culture and of course football!
You will have the opportunity to visit the famous football stadiums of Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool F.C. Manchester is also home to the National Football Museum.
Both cities are steeped in music history and a trip to Liverpool wouldn’t be complete without a tour of the famous Beatles Story.
Other trip locations at the Rossall School Junior Summer Camp include the Roman city of Chester, The beautiful Lake District and historic York.
When you’re not out sight-seeing and soaking up the local culture you certainly won’t be bored! The facilities at Rossall are outstanding which only enhances your experience of playing sports such as tennis, football, rugby, basketball, cricket etc. You will enjoy swimming sessions in the 25m indoor heated swimming pool and could have the opportunity to visit the school’s Astronomy Centre & Victorian Observatory.
