ACCORD Bethany summer school location : ACCORD ISS Bethany summer campus is situated in a typical English village setting. It is surrounded by beautiful Kent countryside between the villages of Goudhurst and Cranbrook.

Goudhurst village is just 5 minutes away. The village is straggling. Genius could scarcely have made it more irregular. It is built on the slope of an eccentric hill. Approaching it from the south you see a collection of red roofs one above another, picturesque and promising. At the summit of the hill you come to the church, ancient, large and interesting. The landscape is richly timbered. There are woods on all sides.

Cranbrook is a small town in Kent in South East England which was granted a charter in 1290 by Archbishop Peckham, allowing it to hold a market in the high street. It is the smallest town in Kent and its name derives from Old English “cran broc”, meaning “Crane Marsh”, marshy ground frequented by cranes (although more probably herons).

The larger and historic town of Royal Tunbridge Wells is only 20 minutes away from the school and the students will have the opportunity to visit the sites and shops every other Friday afternoon. Royal Tunbridge Wells (often shortened to Tunbridge Wells) is about 40 miles (64 km) south-east of central London by road. It is situated at the northern edge of the High Weald, the sandstone geology of which is exemplified by the rock formations at the Wellington Rocks and High Rocks.

ACCORD Bethany summer school location and how to get to Bethany:

Gatwick and Heathrow airports are just over an hour away from the school and direct trains to and from central London run frequently from Tunbridge Wells and the nearby town of Marden.

We also collect students from Stansted Airport and London City (upon request).

Eurostar train stations of Ashford and Ebbsfleet are under 50 minutes away from the school.
